A group of students from Uri of Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir called on the President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee at Rashtrapati Bhavan today (December 5, 2013).
Addressing the students, the President said the tour will create in them a greater awareness of the strength and diversity of modern India and a desire to contribute to the progress and development of the country.
The exposure will give them an insight into the rich historical and cultural heritage of our country.
Though India has diverse languages, customs, traditions, etc. there is an underlying unity which binds the people of the nation.
The students are in Delhi under National Integration Tour as part of Operation Sadbhavana organized by 12 Infantry Brigade of Indian Army.
